What is it that we are actually doing?

EVS stands for European Voluntary Service: it is a programme funded by the European Commission, under the umbrella of Erasmus+, where one can participate in any kind of project, at any kind of accredited organisation.

We chose the project with the Foundation for Environmental Education here in Copenhagen, Denmark, for different reasons.

Elisabetta: I was looking for an abroad-opportunity within the field of the environment, and working in an international NGO partnering with UN institution sounded just perfect. Also, living in my favourite city in Europe is kind of a great plus :)

Anna: I have always been interested in having a voluntary experience abroad, and this seemed to be the perfect project. I am also very interested in NGOs and their work, so this is a good opportunity to get some hands-on experience in this field.

Nicole: I come from a Political Science/Communications background, so the first thing that made me apply for this project was the nature of the position - working with Communications. In the process, however, the working environment triggered my interest in sustainable development as a field, climate change and what we do to stop it from below!
